Private Tour

The Blue Cave + Fish Restauran

This is one of two private tours our agency has to offer. Keep in mind that with private tours, guests are mostly in charge and can determine where the speedboat will go (with a guidance and counseling of the captain). This tour typically lasts from 3-6 hours and guests visit the most famous locations in the Boka Bay!

Tour Information

This part of the tour usually lasts around 2-3 hours. It consists of the speedboat sailing from one location to the other. With our speedboats, bimini is included, which will provide enough shade so that the guests do not need to worry about the sun!

In this part of the tour, guests can see some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Bay of Kotor (maybe even in the whole Mediterranean Sea) with the best point of view, where huge mountains rise from up to 1000 meters above sea level! With this type of scenery, sailing from one location to the next is never boring!

Perast was once a powerful maritime centre and it even had a shipyard. Perast’s shore is lined with Baroque palaces and graceful churches. Guests can explore this Old Town if they please or they can view it from the speedboat.

St. George’s Island is one of the two islands on the coast of Perast. Unlike Our Lady of the Rocks, it is a natural island. It is forbiden for turists to visit it so the speedboat will cruise around it while guests take pictures and will continue to islet Our Lady of the Rocks.

Afterwards the speedboat docks on Our Lady of the Rocks islet, where guests have 20 minutes to look aroud, take pictures and even go inside the church and musem. Our Lady of the Rocks is a man-made islet and a Catholic church that has been built over 600 years ago.

In this part of the tour the guest are boarding the speedboat and the tour continues to the Submarine Tunnels. The speedboat enters in one of these submarine tunnels so that the guest can experience it fully and take pictures and record videos.

These 3 tunnels were built by the Yugoslav Army in the middle of last century. They were used by smaller submarines for hideout and cover from enemy spy planes and possible attacks.

After exiting the tunnels, the tour continues to the Islet Mamula. The islet Mamula has a fort, built in 1853 and was used as a prison during both first and second World War.

Islet Mamula is now under conversion into a luxury beach resort so the guests won’t be able to go on it and explore it even more. The speedboat will cruise around it and after a while will continue the journey.

Highlight of this tour is the famous Blue Cave in which the guests have 30 minutes to swim and snorkel inside it. The cave has two openings, smaller on the south side and larger 3 meters high and 15 meters wide, located on the southwest side.

When the day is clear and sunny, through the openings of the cave, sunlight enters its interior, and there it refracts on the surface of the water in indescribable shades of blue, making the water and cave walls the color after which the cave is named.

Last part of this tour consists of guests trying out different foods in the selected Fish Restaurant. There are several fish restaurants in the Boka Bay that serve fresh fish and sea food that was caught on the day of the tour and we can recommend you which one to choose from.

Guests must keep in mind that reservations must be arranged at least a day before the tour starts so that the restaurant can prepare everything! Chefs will make the most iconic Mediterranean foods suchs as Sea Bream, Mussels, Picarel, Sea Bass, Octopus, Cuttlefish, Shrimp… Besides the local cuisine, guests can also try local (even domestic) wines from Montenegro!

Finaly, after 3-6 hours later, the tour is finished. Guests have seen some of the most iconic places in the Boka Bay. In this last part of the tour guests are enjoying breathtaking landescapes and the speedboat is headed back to Old Town Kotor.
